Kirti Patel

Dr. Kirti Patel created Beyond 20/20 Vision Training Center to help children and adults achieve their full visual potential; to make learning and reading more enjoyable; and to make work and life more successful. Dr. Kirti Patel is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Optometry.  She is a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and a member of the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association. She knew at an early age that she wanted to make an impact on this world.  Serving as a Peace Corp Volunteer in Zambia, Africa; externing at Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) in Ahmedabad, India; and training Disaster Services Volunteers for the American Red Cross of Greater New York; she has led a path to help people help themselves. Her Public Health education taught her the greatest impact for change is through education.  Optometry school taught her that without the right visual skills, learning is extremely difficult. Through Vision Therapy, Dr. Kirti Patel found her calling…giving her patients an opportunity to see a more promising future.

"My niece once asked me, if I could do things all over what would be my ideal job.  My nephew, who was working with me at the time, answered…she’s already doing it."

Our Team

Miranta, OVT

Optometric Vision Therapist, Lead Vision Therapist

Miranta has a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Mathematics.  Miranta balances ensuring quality-patient care, overseeing our vision therapy programs, and providing in-depth training to our staff; if she could…all the while in heels. She loves a good cup of coffee and speaks 5 languages. “Vision therapy has been a joy in my life, seeing the difference I am able to make in my patients lives by combining my years of vision research with implementing individualized treatment plans for my patients.”

Rebecca, OVT

Optometric Vision Therapist

Rebecca has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  You can find Rebecca providing quality-patient care, administering valid and reliable testing, and cheering on patients to do the best that they can; always with a smile and an enthusiastic hello when she sees her patients.  Her heart melts when she sees children living up to their full vision therapy potential.  “To work with a child that came in because they were doing poorly in school, and seeing the transformation to when they are ready to graduate our program and are now succeeding academically, is a feeling I can’t describe.  To see a child’s confidence soar is the reason why I love being a vision therapist.”
