Eye Turns & Lazy Eye -- Strabismus & Amblyopia

Eye turns, clinically called strabismus, can range from being very obvious to very subtle, from occurring all the time (constant) to occurring occasionally (intermittent), from one or both eyes turning in or out. Yet, all of these types of eye turns are often treatable with vision therapy.

While many children who have an eye turn may have eye surgery (strabismus surgery), it is important to understand that just as most people require physical and/or occupational therapy after certain types of surgery, vision therapy is vital for full recovery of visual function after strabismus surgery.
